St Thomas the Apostle was designed by Douglas Seaver and built in 1987, blending Spanish colonial with the sleekness of late 20th century commercial architecture. Built to minister to a rather affluent community, founding rector Monsignor Todd O' Leary went to great lengths to incorporate local artisans (interior pieces were designed by Rory McCarthy and Robert Boucher) to give a strong sense of permanence and local identity to his final pastoral assignment.
