With the sultry vocal styling of Rebecca Carlson fronting the band, they have put their own stylistic brand on classic Blues, Jazz and some of the more obscure Americana. Hailing from the Mid-West and cutting her teeth in the unforgiving New York theater market Rebecca has proven herself in a business that demands the best.
Sharing the front seat with Rebecca is Juke Joint Johnny Strasser. Johnnys vocal style brings to mind such Blues shouters as Wynonie Harris, Louis Jordan and even a little Delbert McClinton. He also lends his talent on slide guitar, harmonica, and acoustic guitar to the group.
Taking care of the lead and rhythm guitar is Johnny Guitar Blommer. As the founding member of the internationally acclaimed group the Bad News Blues Band, Johnny knows how to move a crowd with a single note. His subtle approach to the guitar is a nod to his two decades of touring with some of the greatest names in the Blues world. But, dont let that fool you, Johnny has been known to breathe fire and play solos that would make Jimi Hendrix proud.
On the Bass is AZ Blues Hall of Fame member, Steve Grams. Co-founder of the sensational duo Grams and Krieger, Steve has toured the world and played bass on more than 80 records in his career.
On the drums is New York Citys own Glenn Velardi. One listen to his driving backbeat and you will know why they call him The Hit Man. His style is one of the classic Blues tradition and an ability to create a groove big enough to drive a truck through.
